Reverend Kari D. Hill, Women's Ministry President

Reverend Kári King-Hill, a certified educator, elementary school principal, and preacher of the gospel, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. To date, she has earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Clarion University, and two Masters of Education degrees along with her Pennsylvania Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility. She recently completed her coursework in Educational Leadership doctoral degree program at Arcadia University and will begin the dissertation phase prior to her December 2018 graduation.

At the age of seven, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the Faith Emanuel Baptist Church. Reverend Hill preached her initial sermon on November 1, 1998 and was licensed as an Associate Minister of Faith Emanuel. In October 2006, she was ordained, becoming the first licensed and ordained female associate minister in the history of Faith Emanuel Baptist Church. In 2016, she united with the Jones Memorial Baptist Church, under the dynamic spiritual leadership of Dr. Paul R. Lee, to continue in the furtherance of the gospel ministry. In 2017, she was appointed as the President of the Women’s Division for the Pennsylvania Eastern Keystone Baptist Association.

For more than 20 years, Reverend Hill has exercised her gifts in the professional world as an educator and administrator at Christian Tabernacle Academy, Lincoln Technical Institute, and Berkeley College (NYC). For ten years, she was employed by the School District of Philadelphia, serving in various instructional positions, including Elementary School Principal. For three years, she served as the proud Principal of the Crooked Billet Elementary School – an award winning school in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Being obedient to the voice of The Lord, Reverend Hill returned to serve the children of Philadelphia in July 2013 where she now leads the Disston Elementary School.

Reverend Hill is a member of several civic organizations including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and also is a discharged member of the United States Air Force Reserve.

She is presently married her partner in life and ministry, Minister Warren Hill and they are currently enjoying life together as one in Christ worshipping, ministering and serving together at Jones Memorial.

Moreover, as a woman in Christ, Reverend Hill concurs with the Apostle Paul as he proclaims, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation.” She preaches and strives to live a life indicative of a servant and child of God.
